You’ve successfully created your Paxful account; what’s next? Before you get started on trading, make sure to have your account verified. Verifying your Paxful account allows you to enjoy exclusive platform benefits and makes it easier for our team to help you if you are in a tricky situation.

Paxful has three account verification levels, and as you level up, your trade and account send-out limits also increase. To help you fully verify your Paxful account, simply follow these simple steps:

ID verification

Step 1. Log in to your account

Log in to your Paxful account and click the dropdown icon next to your Profile Avatar. Then, select Settings > Verification or go to this link: https://paxful.com/account/verification.

Step 2. Fill out the required information

Prepare your government-issued ID card, passport, or driver’s license.

Select the Issuing Country of your ID and the ID Type you’ll upload. Afterward, we’ll need your current residential address. Select your current Country of Residence and fill in your address information. Once done, click Start Verification Process to begin.

Step 3. Upload your document

Next, you’ll be asked to upload your document. You can do so through your mobile phone or web browser using a webcam.

On the following page, you’ll be asked if you are a resident of the United States of America or Other countries. Select whichever is applicable to you and click Continue.

You will be asked again to select the Issuing Country of your ID and Document Type.

If you wish to continue verifying using your web browser, click Next. You also have the option to Continue on phone.

If you Continue on phone, you can copy the link provided to your mobile web browser or scan the QR code.

If you choose to continue verifying using your webcam, make sure you Allow the use of your camera. Alternatively, you can also choose to Upload manually.

If you choose to take a photo of your ID using your webcam, you’ll see this:

If you choose to upload a photo of your ID manually, you’ll see this:

You’ll be asked to upload both the front and back of your ID card or driver’s license. If you’re uploading a passport, simply continue to the next step.

Please also take note of the following requirements:

• Only personal documents can be used
• ID documents should be valid up to the date of the verification request submission
• Paper format of ID documents is not accepted
• All files uploaded should be original. No editing is allowed.
• All files should be clearly visible, high quality, in JPEG format; all information should be legible; and they should not be covered by any passport covers or other objects.
• The information on the document should match the information provided on the form.
• If your document is written in a language that does not use Latin characters, you may still use it for verification. If your native language is not yet supported by our verification provider, you will receive a message: Unsupported ID.

Once you have done so, click Next.

Step 4. Capture a selfie

Once your document is uploaded, proceed to capture a selfie. Click I’m Ready and follow the on-screen instructions very carefully. Then, complete the scan and wait for your image to be verified.

The selfie should be a photograph of you (taken in real-time), not a scanned picture of you or a picture on a different device.

Address verification

After successfully verifying your ID, you can proceed with the Proof of Address (PoA). Verifying your address allows you to enjoy a 50,000 USD per trade limit and unlimited send outs. Here are the steps to help you get started:

Step 1. Go to your Paxful profile

Head over to your Paxful profile and click Increase Trading Limit under the Verifications section.

Step 2. Fill out the required information

This step requires a utility bill, phone bill, or bank or credit card statement addressed to you. Remember to use a document that shows your full name and an address that matches the information you entered.

Paxful does not accept transaction receipts, online wallet statements, insurance statements, medical bills, or mobile phone bills.

Once you’ve completed the required fields, click Start Verification Process, and you’ll be redirected to the upload page.

Step 3. Upload your document

Before choosing a file, make sure it is a legal and traceable document displaying your full name and current residential address that matches the address you entered in the form. It must also be the official PDF file or a photo of the official physical document from the bank or utility company.

Paxful does not accept documents issued older than three (3) months ago, screenshots, printed copies or photocopies, cropped documents, or documents only showing P.O. box addresses.

If you wish to continue verifying using your web browser, click Next. You also have the option to Continue on phone.

If you Continue on phone, you can copy the link provided to your mobile web browser or scan the QR code.

Choose a file and review your document. If you’re confident that your document is accurate, click Next and wait for it to be verified.

The information you submit is reviewed either manually or automatically. Automated verification can take 24 hours, while manual verification can take up to seven (7) days. You can learn more about account verification on Paxful here.
