• Creating an Account on Paxful

    Your Paxful journey begins with a simple decision: whether or not to create an account. If you think that you’re ready to take the plunge into the world of crypto and financial freedom, then the next step is to create your Paxful account. Creating your account is easy and very user-friendly. Upon registering, you also get a free wallet to store the cryptocurrency you earn from trading on Paxful. 



    1. Open a web browser and launch the Paxful webpage: https://www.paxful.com.

    2. Click Register on the top right corner of the main page.

    3. Choose if you'd like to create an account with your phone number or email address and create a password.



    • When you register on Paxful, a username will automatically be assigned to you, but you can customize it later. 
    • Click I have referral code to register your referral code received from another Paxful user.

    4. From there, you'll need to verify your phone or email address (whichever one you chose to create your account with).

    Once you have created your account, we recommend verifying your phone or email address (whichever one you did not use to sign up with) and identity as well to gain more trading opportunities on our platform.     This dashboard exclusively applies to users who are using the “Paxful Pay” feature (sign up for this feature on our Paxful Pay page). On the Merchant Dashboard you can see:

  • Trusted/Blocked List









    To trust or block a user follow these steps:

    1. 任意のページ(オファーリスト、取引チャット、ダッシュボード内の過去の取引など)でユーザー名をクリックします。
    2. ユーザーを信頼またはブロックするには、ユーザー名の下にある「信頼する」または「ブロック」のリンクをそれぞれクリックします。



    • You can always undo this action later.
    • You can only block a user if you are ID verified or if you have previously traded with that user.

    To view and manage your blocked and trusted list, go to your Contact list.

  • Changing Phone Number


    1. Paxfulアカウントにログインし、ページ右上にあるユーザー名の上にマウスを移動すると表示されるコンテキストメニューから「設定」をクリックします。

    2. ページ左側のメニューで「プロフィール」をクリックします。

    3. Click Change number near to PHONE field.
    A confirmation link appears.

    4. 「クリックしてリセット用のリンクをメールで送信します」をクリックして操作を確定します。

    5. [email protected] から届いたメールを開き、メール内のリンクをクリックします。


    6. Answer your security questions and click Submit.

  • How to Change Your Email Address

    You can now change your email address on the Settings page by following these steps: 

    1. Go to your Settings page from your account icon in the upper right hand corner.
    2. Underneath the Account settings header, click on “Change Email”.
    3. A pop-up window will appear, where you can click “Continue”.
    4. You'll be directed to enter a validation code from your phone, either via SMS or your 2FA verification. 
    5. You'll now need to type in the email address you'd like to associate with your Paxful account, then click “Verify Email”.
    6. Go to your email inbox and copy the code we send you.
    7. Verify your email address by inputting the code when prompted. 

    After setting up the new email associated with your Paxful account, you'll see a pop-up window that will confirm the change.

    Here are a few things to keep in mind: 

    • It may take up to 24 hours for our system to complete the change of your account’s email address. 
    • If you’re using 2FA, you will receive a validation code through either Google Authenticator or Authy. 
    • You *must* be able to verify the new email address. If you're unable to, you won't be able to change your email to that specific address. 
    • You are only able to change your email address **3** times.

    For your security, some email address change requests need to be reviewed by our support team. If you are unable to change your email address through the steps above, you can reach out to us through the contact form. For more information on how to use this form, check out this article.

    Once our support team receives your request, we’ll ask you a few questions to make sure you’re the owner of your Paxful account. From there, our team will take a look at processing your request.

  • Account Locked


    1. Geolocation lock. If you log in from a new location, you have to approve it through email to log in.

      What to do?
      Check your inbox for an unlock link. Click the link and continue using our website.

      If you are still unable to access your account or have not received an email with a link from Paxful, please let us know the error message or send us a screenshot so we can help you with it.

    2. We identify suspicious activity on your account. As a result, we may lock it for security purposes to prevent any criminal action on our platform. The account will remain locked until we confirm your ownership and identity.

      What to do?
      Contact support for assistance.
  • What "A User has Blocked You" Means?


    If you ever receive a message saying that a certain user has “blocked” you, don’t worry about it too much because it doesn’t affect your account and the actions you can perform on it. If a user blocks you, it means that they won’t see any offers you post in the future. They may have their own reasons but it won’t affect your standing on Paxful and it won’t affect your ability to sell and buy cryptocurrency. So just continue to use your account normally. As a pro tip, you can try to be as transparent and forthcoming as you can with your trade partners. But at the end of the day, keep in mind that you can’t please everyone.

  • Closing Account

    It’s unfortunate that you want to close your account. However, you can close your account if you want to. For legal and compliance purposes, Paxful is required to keep all records and trading histories of all our users both current and past.

    To close your Paxful account

    1. Hover over your username on the top right of the page and click Settings from the context menu that appears.
      The Settings page appears. 
    2. On the menu on the left, click Security.
      The Security settings appear.
    3. Under the Close account section, click Close account. 
      The Request to close account dialog box appears.
    4. Select one of the pre-defined reasons or select Other and type your own reason for account deactivation and click Send request.
      A confirmation email is sent to your inbox from [email protected].
    5. Open the email and click Close Account.


    Warning: If after submitting your request you still have trading activity, wallet balance, or active disputes, your request will be rejected.

  • Adding Bank Account to User Profile

    This article shows you how to add and manage bank details in your profile.  Now you don’t have to send this sensitive information to your trade partner manually every time you have a bank transfer trade. You can save more than one bank account and use them for all your bank transfer trades.

    Adding bank account

    1. Login to your account, hover over your username and click Settings.
    The Account settings page appears.

    2. Keep your bank account details handy and click Payment Details on the left menu.

    3. Choose your account type, country, and currency and click Next.

    Note: If you want to receive international payments, additional details about Account Holder are necessary.

    6. Click Add account.
    Your account is added to the list of your bank accounts in your profile.


    • You can edit/remove account details in the future. 
    • 銀行口座は複数保存でき、すべての銀行振込の取引で使用することができます。


    Deleting bank account

    1. Login to your account, hover over your username and click Settings.


    The Account settings page appears.

    2. Click Payment Details on the left menu.


    The list of your bank accounts appears.

    3. Choose the account you want to be deleted and click Delete.


    A confirmation dialogue box appears.

    4. Double-check if this is the account you want to remove and click Yes.


    Your account is removed from the list of your bank accounts in your profile.

  • How Do I Activate Dark Theme?

    Web View

    1. To activate the dark theme for web view pages such as the Buy or Sell pages viewed on a browser on your mobile device, follow the same steps as you would for the desktop version, highlighted above.

    Can I activate the dark theme on my Paxful mobile app?


    The dark theme is supported on all iOS devices. However, there is no way to enable the theme directly on the app. If you enable dark mode under device settings, on your iOS device, then the Paxful iOS app switches to dark mode automatically. This is valid only for the native pages of the app. 


    You can activate dark theme on your Android device in the Account page of your app. 

  • Restrictions For Users In The States Of New York, Texas, Washington, And West Virginia

    Unfortunately, due to regulatory restrictions, Paxful is currently prohibited from servicing customers in the states of New York, Washington, and West Virginia. As a result, accounts in these states will be banned and you will not be able to log in to your Paxful account when in these states. We're sorry for this inconvenience and we hope in the future you'll consider continuing your use of Paxful if and when such use becomes compliant with all applicable laws and regulations.

    • All accounts with an IP registered in the states of New York, Washington, and West Virginia and all accounts with an address verified within the states of New York, Washington, and West Virginia will be banned.
    • All accounts using a driver's license or ID card to verify their identity from the states of New York, Washington, and West Virginia will be banned.

    USDT Restrictions

    Due to regulatory restrictions, we must prohibit access to Tether (USDT) for Paxful users residing in Texas. Access will be prohibited starting on March 4, 2021 at 10:00 AM EST. This includes trading, withdrawing, depositing, and converting USDT.
